Midland Trichologist set to reign as the youngest President – May 2008

sallyanntarverMidlands leading Consultant Trichologist, Sally-Ann Tarver, is set to reign as the new and youngest national President of The Trichological Society to date.

Sally-Ann Tarver, Director of The Cotswold Trichology Centre, Evesham, took over as President of The Trichological Society on May 19 th this year, after becoming a member of the Society in 2000 and holding the title of Vice President for the last two-years.

The 33-year-old is the youngest member and professional Trichologist to be elected as President of the Society, which is made up of Doctors, Surgeons, Wig Consultants, Herbalists and Trichologists.

Sally-Ann will be the new face of the Society and her duties will include media spokesperson, commenting on hair loss and scalp related issues and awarding and welcoming new professional members to the Society.

She said: “It is a great honour to become President of the Society and represent all of the members worldwide who work hard in the industry of orthodox hair sciences.

“My goal that I want to achieve throughout my presidency is to raise both the profile of the Society and Trichology as an academic subject and career prospect. I believe the Society’s success relies on new members and young academics.

“Trichology is a vital profession which is unique and niche and I am confident I will be able to increase awareness at a national level.”

The Society is an Independent Autonomous Professional and Educational Body with an international reputation and a membership which includes a number of the World’s most respected academics in the field of orthodox hair-sciences.

The Cotswold Trichology Centre specialises in treating men and women for common and unusual hair and scalp problems. The centre has fully qualified Trichologists who can treat conditions such as Alopecia, sudden hair loss and scalp conditions like Seborrhoeic Dermatitis.
