My appointment at Cotswold Trichology was extremely helpful in my hair loss journey. Sally-Ann was able to explain what was causing mine and was honest regarding treatment she was able to provide. She did very kindly write a letter to my doctor advising of my visit and her suggestions as to medical treatment which might keep the condition under control. Had problems with stomach and bowels and dispite going to the local doctor and having stool tests they came back negative for any infection or cancer issues.
Was told by the doctor to give it a few weeks as the problems should clear up in a few days.
They didn't clear up, so my wife suggested visiting Sally Anne for a Food Intolerance Teat.
The booking procedure was very easy with options of various dates that could be booked online.
After a welcoming introduction from Sally Anne, she proceeded to explain the Food Intolerance Teast, and it was soon done, but we had to wait 30 minutes for the test to complete.
Sally explained from the test that I was intolerant of wheat, Cows milk, and eggs.
After eliminating these from my diet, within 3 days the symptoms I was having disappeared!
For over 6 weeks of discomfort and two visits to the doctor and no change or further advise or cure, within tree days of eliminating certain foods a distinct improvement was made.
I can thoroughly recommend Sally Anne if you need any help outside of the NHS for Food Intolerance issues.
She is very experienced and has a wealth of knowledge in Food Intolerance which unfortunately does not seem to be available via the NHS.

I just wanted to share how amazing my experience with scalp micropigmentation has been so far. I was a little nervous going into it, but honestly, it’s been such a positive journey. From the moment I walked in for my consultation, I felt like I was in good hands. Sally-Ann took the time to understand what I wanted and made sure I felt comfortable.
The results even at this stage (3 sessions in) have been incredible — so natural and exactly what I was hoping for. I’ve already had a few people comment on how much more confident I look. The sessions were super professional and not as painful as I expected, and the attention to detail was next level.

I recently visited Cotswold Trichology with a scalp condition and thinning of hair. Sally-Ann promptly diagnosed the scalp condition and possible reason for the hair thinning. She made some modifications to the hair products I was using and prescribed a natural vitamin supplement to be taken daily. After a few weeks the scalp condition significantly improved and there has been slight improvement in the hair thinning, and I have a follow-up consultation in October. Sally-Ann is an excellent professional and I highly recommend her services.

After a tentative diagnosis from my GP and a referral to an NHS dermatologist - appointment booked for February 2025!!! - I decided to seek help from Cotswold Trichology and I was very quickly seen by Trichologist Sally-Ann Tarver. I found Sally-Ann very easy to talk to and she very quickly gave me a comprehensive diagnosis and explained the various treatment options that I could take. Although I found my diagnosis quite shocking, I am so pleased that I made the decision to book my appointment and did not wait 10 months until my NHS appointment. I feel empowered by the knowledge given to me by Sally-Ann and hopeful that I can stabalise my condition using the treatments suggested. “I consulted with Sally Ann about my hair shedding excessively and she was very quick to identify I had low ferritin and VitB12 deficiencies. My GP had disregarded these results for over a year just telling me to buy over the counter supplements. Sally-Ann strongly recommended I attend another GP as she felt my Vit B12 level was so low normal supplements would be useless. The second GP confirmed this opinion and prescribed six Vit B12 injections, administered over two weeks, and I have been told I will need to have injections for life due to non absorption issues.
Sally Ann is hopeful my hair will recover but more importantly her excellent advice has undoubtedly saved me from having long term health issues. A Vit B12 deficiency is linked to nerve damage and dementia.
